Hi. I need to know where the fuel pressure regulator is located on a 1988 Dodge Dakota Sport with a 3.9 L V-6 Engine that has an automatic transmission. 2 wheel drive. I believe it is near the carburetor but I am not sure. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

ok, im a little mechanicaly knowledgeable. but I was wondering if anybody has had simular problems. I have a 2000 dodge dakota, 6 cyl. that sometimes has a noticable rattle sound when it idles after it has warmed up. dont think its a vacum or spark plug prob. mabe weak lifter? or timing chain? just bought truck with 134000 miles but not sure its original engine. All the fluids have recently been changed, and took it on a trip 1000 miles round trip. it might have gotten a little worse, but not real noticeable. it also has like a little bit of a skip. The check eng light dosnt work, so if it has a code I dont know about it. I'll have it checked. the injecters look new, but could have a faulty one. I guess I'm saying I know how to check things to find out what is going on, but was hoping someone would know of common problems with this eng and could give advice on what to exspect first. Any and all advice is greatly apreciated!

Hello,
I have a 81 dodge Dakota that fail emissions. Well my mechanic hooked it up to his test machine and found no errors as to why. Also the emissions gives you a list of possible solutions and they all check out as ok for my truck. Can anyone tell me what I should do in this situation?
Thanks

I found this pretty nice sized Dodge truck at a dealer nearby, I'm sort of interested in it. But in the back of my mind I remember the Grand Caravan I had that would always break down and need repairs. The biggest incident was when the cable underneath the van came loose during a long road trip for vacation. After that I have had no faith in Dodge. Its a dakota if that changes your mind. Can I expect a 05 Dodge Dakota to be reliable?
