Hello, Thanks for looking at my Hummer. In my opinion this truck is in good condition with the usual small chips and a small dent on rear tailgate. And it runs great and it always garaged by me and I'm told by the previous owners also. It starts right up, has no leaks and shifts without problem. And as far as I can tell it has never been in any type of accident and has original paint and it looks awesome. Now I will tell you what I think it needs it probably needs- rear brake pads and possibly a brake disk on rear drivers side. The Air Conditioning although very cold does not blow from the top vents just the lower ones. I think a hose came undone under the dash someplace because from time to time I hear a rattle sound under there, I think it's the vent. And the last thing is that I think it needs a child safety switch for the windows because last week after using it the passenger windows only go up and down from drivers controls, they work fine but just I need to do it not the passengers. About 500 miles ago I put on new tires and H2 aluminum rims that were professionally modified by Kascar in Greenville SC, to fit H1"s and also new CTIS ( Central Tire Inflation System) lines are mounted on them with quick release unlike stock which need to be removed with a wrench. And also with the truck you can have the original wheels with tires and CTIS lines still installed with the original tires at about 50% thread with no dry rot. The reason I put on the new wheels was because the Military rims and OZ's are a loud rough ride and the aluminum rims and new tries ride very smooth. I forgot to mention the CTIS works perfectly. I also put on a rear canopy that gets zippered on and mounts to the body with velcro and I put a few smalls screws on it to hold it better I also made a wooden box so not to damage the bed of the truck but it slides out with no problem (it's not screwed in). I also made a PVC frame to hold up the rear canopy do to the fact the originals are so hard to come by. I've only owned the Hummer for about 2 years and in that time it spent most of the time in my Garage. I pretty much bought it to be a weekend driver and that's what it's been for the last 2 years. I would get the minor stuff I wrote about fixed but I live on the East End of Long Island and don't trust any of the shops out here to work on it. But I think by a reputable mechanic to fix these things should not be more than a thousand to fifteen hundred to fix. So in bidding please keep that in mind. The only reason I want to sell the Hummer is because I need a regular pickup truck to carry around my son and his friends motorcycles and quad. And I have limited room for another vehicle at my house. 1991 H1 Hummer/HMMWV Race Truck No Reserve Auction 1 Bid Will Win This truck was presented to Rod Hall when he accepted an invitation from AM General to start ‘Team Hummer’ in 1991. The Race Team start coincided with the release of the Civilian H1 Hummer. This truck went on a dealer tour at various locations nationwide (see Picture). It then returned to Nevada and was used as a ‘Prerunner’ for many years by the race team. The truck was given to Chad Hall by Rod Hall. A new frame and suspension system was added at a cost of approximately $20,000. A new 6.5 mechanically turbocharged intercooled engine was also installed. Custom Zumi intake manifold and piping. The original Turbo 400 transmission and 242 transfer case remain. Transmission is a full manual valve body with a Cheetah shifter. Open differentials and new 10.3 halfshafts on all four corners. Brakes have been converted to 12” with no parking brake. The problematic rear calipers were replaced with front units. Solid aluminum skid plates protect front and rear differentials and brakes. A H1 Alpha main tank was installed for added fuel capacity. There is also a 20 gallon fuel cell mounted in the bed that is pumped into the main tank by a Holley 110 GPH electric fuel pump. Truck has 2 spares mounted on matching beadlock wheels in a custom rack in the bed. I will include 2 extra BF Goodrich Baja T/A’s with the truck in excellent condition. Truck also equipped with a rear towing hitch and plug. Installed on the front bumper are Blue Ox tow bar mounts so that the truck can be flat towed. There is a mixture of 6 PIAA, Pro Comp and Hella driving lights. Interior roll cage has been modified with additional cross bars. Front seats are Corbeau with Crow 4 point belts, Rears are Smittybilt XRC’s with Simpson lap belts. Kenwood 100 watt VHF radios with 2 heads, one driver and one passenger. Radio is mounted under rear driver’s side seat. They have been programmed to various race team frequencies. There is also a 40 channel Cobra CB within the reach of both driver and passenger. Mounted on a HMMWV radio rack is a Itronix docking station with a Itronix GoBook 3 with integrated GPS and wireless internet. Delorme Topo software has been installed. A Havis map light is mounted for the computer. Switchs for lights and a rechargeable Mag Light are within the passenger’s reach. 2 Summit water bottle/cup holders have been installed in the front. A Xantrex 1000 watt invertor is installed in the rear. I will include a Battery Tender Plus as well. There are interior gear racks between the rear seats. This is where we carried all tools and spare parts. 2 fender racks are installed outside on the rear fenders for additional storage. A High Lift jack is installed on the rear bumper. Fire extinguisher mounted to a HMMWV rack on the rear fender (Has never come loose). Dual batteries are mounted under the passenger front seat (Stock Location). The magic in this truck comes from the suspension upgrades. 6 custom built BRW shocks control the bumps. 2 massive fronts with remote reservoirs and 4 rears. This truck was made to Go Fast over the rough stuff. Top speed around 80mph with the Turbo 400. Halfshaft’s have been race wired as well as other critical bolts. Safety strap as been installed on the driver’s side motor mount. Truck also has Bullet proof billet ball joints. The best available for the Hummer/HMMWV. These are the same as used on the suspension upgrade kits for the military HMMWV’s. Cost $280ea X 8. This is NOT a rock crawler! It is a desert racer! It is AMAZING in the desert at speed! Still has it’s original paint. You can still see were some of the original sponsors decal were installed. Snap On, Rancho, Shell etc. If you are looking for a true piece of Hummer history this is it! Street legal! Drive it anywhere. Remember this truck is NOT anywhere near perfect condition, It’s a offroad racer! Runs great! Suspension is setup for offroad. Notice that it has a lot of negative camber. That’s for offroad handling. It does however have great road manners. It has one problem, Once and awhile after long trips it won’t start intill you let it sit awhile. It is a problem with the fuel shutoff on the injection pump. A rebuild would fix it. Doesn’t do it often so I never addressed it. Just sit for 20 or 30 minutes and then it’s fine. Easy fix. Has HMMWV dash but has always been 12 volt. Starting procedure is turn key, Push glow plug button and hold for 15 seconds then start with key. Very basic. I have enjoyed this truck for many years and own 4 H1’s.
