Hello! Have up for Auction 1978 Ford F-150 Short Bed 4 X 4 Pickup Truck. I was told the Truck is a HighBoy, but not sure. I will add info. as sent in messages for all to view. The BODY in Good Shape for this year, with typical rust above wheel-wells on the Bed Sides. The Floor of the Bed is in good shape. There is some surface rust on the fenders & doors. See Pictures please. ROLL BAR in the Bed. WHEELS: Aluminum Trick Rims with 33" Tires. Tires are in Fair Condition. Wheels look to be 10" Wide. RUNS BUT HAS SOME NOISE IN ENGINE; 351M400 TRANSMISSION: Shifts Good. TRANSFER CASE: Good. Needs little body work and paint. Excellent Truck to RESTORE! This is an A/C Cab. This is my 2004 Ford F150 Fx4 4X4 with 120000 miles on it. It runs good with no problems. Since I have had the truck I have kept the maintenance up to date. I just installed new drilled and slotted brake rotors and brakes front and rear. It has dual exhaust, spray in bedliner, running boards, power windows, power door locks, power mirros, turn signals in the mirrors, alloy wheels, towing package, and k&n air filter. The tires are all matching with about 20% tread life left. The only reason I am getting rid of the truck is I want to get a bigger truck. There is nothing wrong with the truck. It has grey cloth interior with no stains or tears, and the exterior is white with gray on the bottom. This is an emaculate truck it is somewhat rare because of the color and the flareside. 1941 Plymouth Pickup Truck 1932 1940 Dodge Chrysler Chevy Engine Ford rear end. This truck has been in four shows and took first place in each. It is a beautiful restoration. This truck is rare as only 6,073 were produced in 1941. They were not built again for many years. The truck has only 1,217 miles on it since it’s restoration in 2009 to 2010. All the gauges were restored to original at a cost of over $1,200.00. Expenses were not spared to bring this truck to what it is today. The truck was purchased in 1961 by my wife’s father and has been in the family since. I spent $67,000 on the restoration and my reserve is less than half of that amount. Paint is P.P.G Concept. The color is “Soft Yellow” with “Milkshake” trim. The interior is imitation “Ultra Leather.” Carpeting is German wool. All stainless professionally polished. New tires and wheels, new glass, new bed with new alder wood and polished stainless runners, new rubbers, new wiring and plumbing. All new hardware, new exhaust system with Flow masters . Engine is out of a 1988 Camaro 305 cu.in. with 47,000 miles. Runs quiet and smooth. Trans 350 Turbo with Lokar shifter and emergency brake. Has Ford 8 Inch rear end. Mustang ll front end with power steering and power disc brakes. Borgeson steering joints. Doors easy to open and close. Nice gaps. Door locks with key. This truck started out almost rust free with nice sheet metal. Steering is true and straight and tires do not rub in corners. Trying to be as honest as possible there are a couple flex cracks on passenger front fender where fender meets cowl and running board. Very small and not really noticeable unless you look for them. Also bottom of truck is driver quality while top is show quality.
